7 Months Old and Nealia is no longer toothless!

Our little monkey turned 7 months on Friday!! And on Monday she got her first little tooth!! It’s just poking through and her other bottom middle one is just about to pop through as well! I have feared teething, I’ve heard horror stories on the fussiness, lack of sleep etc. so far she has been great. A little harder to get her to go to sleep but we give her baby Motrin at night for the swelling and pain and it seems to keep her sleeping! She has had one night when her tooth first popped through and she woke up at 2am for some mommy snuggles, but that’s it. She’s been sleeping her usual 9-12 hours straight! We’ve never put Nealia on a schedule for eating or sleeping and we didn’t really do any intense sleep training techniques, I’m not against these by all means, I’m just a mother that follows her instincts and I want Nealia to find her rhythm and schedule on her own. Now, not all babies probably do this on their own, so we got lucky. But she’s been great since about 3.5 months, before that she was waking up through the night to eat and was figuring it all out! We’ve naturally discovered her needs by watching, listening and really going with the flow! We don’t make plans around her naps and bedtimes, we make things work and in return she is a really flexible baby that you can take anywhere.

We went to the mountains over the weekend to see her “uncles” and so mommy could go boarding with her Wisco buddies, we had a blast and Nealia got a day of football and hockey with Daddy! He even took her to a pub to get lunch and she was an angel! And of course got so much attention from everyone! And the night before we all went out for a nice dinner in Frisco and at moments in the night we forgot their was a little baby eating with us she was that well behaved!

Overall, she’s been her usually monkey self, crawling, climbing, pulling her self up on everything and loving to bounce. She is is just extra lovable lately even when she’s being sassy! This is such a fun age and I can’t believe what a big girl she is!
